Very
bright aurora were visible on my flight from LAX to Heathrow.
I always keep an eye on the possibility for aurora before
this flight and pack the camera if there is a good chance.
Canon 1D Mark III, 24mm f/1.4L, f/1.4, ISO 1600, 2" exposure.

The
aurora was out all night, but around 2pm it got quite active,
the best display this year. The lights were moving so fast
accross the sky, it was hard to keep up. Nikon D3, 14-24mm
f2.8 and 16mm fisheye. ISO 1600 3-1.6 secs. |

A
lovely evening at a historical site with a clear sky filled
with stars and a nice Aurora Borealis display. A night to
remember! Photos captured with a Canon Digital Rebel XT
& 20mm Sigma on a tripod. |

We're
in Tromso on Holiday and the Aurora were really active last
night. This was the first attempt at aurora photography
and I think it came out pretty well. Taken with a Canon
350D, 15 second exposure. Thanks to Tromso tourist info
and Agnetta at the Family Park (loved the waffles!). |

We
had to drive slowly behind a family of moose (who preferred
to jog along right in the middle of the road, instead of
going to the left or right...) to get those images! It was
an impressive show! Photo details: Canon EOS 350D, ISO400-800,
20-30s exposures. |

Quite
strong storm here. Sometimes I was between two aurora belts.
Try to shoot then :-) Photo details: Canon 350D, 400 ASA,
