Summary:
All of the auroras seen this month were sparked by solar wind
streams striking Earth. The three most intense impacts occurred
on Sep. 1st, 6th, 21st and 29th.

Great show over
Greenland last night while flying from L.A. to London! The
aurora was really nice even through the plane window. Lots
of activity in particular around 5UT. It was still visible
when the horizon started to brighten. One of the pictures
shows Venus near the horizon.

Although the
moon was bright we still caught a brief display around local

Porjus
had some auroras the last month but these were really the
opening scene of the coming winterseason. This is a good
coronal hole and we on the polarcircle are ready for it!
Especially nice because it is not freezing yet..... |

The auroras
put on a beautiful display behind partly clouded sky. Here
is my friend using a William Optics telescope to look at
the stars.

After a long dry spell without much aurora activity in my part of the world, mid Canada. This mornings (Sept 22) 3 hour display was a thing of beauty.

From
one year ago, I don't have the possibility to take this
photos. The cloudy times not permit me that. But today,
my luck are changed.
