Next stop! Venus! Here in Salt Lake City, UT the transit of venus was heavily clouded out until around 8pm when the distant sun dropped below the local cloud deck. The photo shows the Sun, clouds, sunspots and a jet which happened to cross the face of the sun during this photo. As you can see, the atmostphere was very turbulent that day. Photo taken with a Nikon D200 with a 2.5x barlow, Lunt Herschel Wedge and Orion 80ED telescope. ISO400, 1/250 sec.
