Details:
It rained all day where I live in Calgary, AB so I drove 240 km ENE (150 Miles) to Sheerness, AB where radar showed the only patch of clear sky in Alberta (about 160 Sq. miles)
Photo details:
#1 - Nikon D70 with a Nikor 80 - 400mm zoom at 370mm, ISO 200, F 5.66, 1/320 with a white light solar filter. I super imposed the same picture as a negative to show the contrast of the sun spots.
#2&3 - afocal using a hand held iPhone 4S through a Meade 8 LX200GPS with a 40mm eyepiece
#2 - backed away from the eyepiece to encompass whole sun Focal Length of 4.28mm, ISO 64, F 2.4 and 1/251 sec exposure
#3 - Focal Length of 4.28mm, ISO 64, F 2.4 and 1/493 sec. exposure
