So this is a Venus transit prequel that I forgot about, almost. I arrived at Mount Wilson Observatory a day ahead of the transit. Had enough time to set my gear up and run a quick test to make sure everything was working and ready for the big day. I took one set of pictures... would have forgotten about it if I hadnt rediscovered this data in the 200 gigabytes of movies I took the next day. Turns out the legendary Mt. Wilson seeing, which escaped us on June 5th was in good form the day before. In astrophotography, see in is everything and this is some of the best stability for solar photography that Ive experienced. Forgive the big file, but I couldnt bear to reduce it.
