Details:
I went out in a lingering twilight, then the glow began between the twilight and the city lights. Vertical bands let me know it was aurora time. Saw a bright green column and a few ribbons and then the glow moved up higher behind a cloud deck. Nikon D300, Tokina 28-80mm 2.8 30sec, f/5, ISO1000.
