Details:
Gone but not forgotten. Traces of the large July 19 flare can still be seen as a large, looping prominence. This was fairly bright at 10:30 AM Eastern time when I took this picture. By 2:30 PM, it was still visible but a lot fainter.


Solarmax 60II f/6.6, Canon XTi ISO 800, surface 1/800 sec. prominences 1/250 sec.


The surface and prominence shots are 5 layer stacks. Treated with Lynkeos and Photoshop
