Details:
The NLC appeared at 3:20am (9:20 UT) and the first, more easterly of the 2 patches became one of the brightest patches visible in Central Alberta skies this season. It remained visible to the naked eye until 5:00am (11:00 UT) even from within Edmontons city limits. A more distant Auroral band discoloured the upper portion of the NLC display until 4:30am. Canon 5DII & Canon 60Da, f2.8 24-70mm, 1 sec., ISO 640 to ISO 1250
