Last night all but the brightest meteors were drowned out by the light of the “Red Moon” This early Perseids meteor was captured on 20120801 02:00:05.33 PST or 20120801 09:00:05.33 UTC. With the arrival of this many Perseids this early and the waning of the “Red Moon”, this year’s shower should be quite an event to witness.
