With a nice clear sky and bright Milky Way my husband and I were observing some evening Perseids last night and the meteors came! Better than we expected, some really colourful and bright ones dazzled us, some had small green sparkles when falling - and I was lucky enough to have most of them. We came home after the Moon reached 6-7 deg. altitude and it was too bright.
