Looks like I was too early for the noontime flare. You can just see the beginnings of some action in the lower right. Nice wavy prominence though.

Solarmax 60II f/6.6, Canon XTi ISO 800, surface 1/800 sec. prominences 1/250 sec.

The surface and prominence shots are 5 layer stacks. Treated with Lynkeos and Photoshop
