Star Fields
Taken by Tokuo Nakamoto on August 13, 2012 @ I would guess that the plane had flown 8 hrs towards Sydney (~ 4,300 miles from LA) so we were near American Samoa @ -10 deg. South Latitude.

My first Bucket List was to go down south to see the Southern Skies. Ive wanted to fill my first for some 35 yrs but due to my job and astro-friends who kept putting it off I couldnt until just this August 2012. We got on the plane to Sydney and flew south from L.A.
On the way there I looked hard out the port window to see if I can see any Constellation patterns. Well, I got my first ever view of the Magellanic Clouds from 32,000 ft. Yaay! Ive never seen such photo in Sky & Tel or Astronomy Mags. Canon Ti1, 3200 ISO, 15seconds @ 2.8 handheld
