Details:
I was very concentrated on photographing Augusts blue moon in the East, so when I turned around I didnt expect to see noctilucent clouds in the West! What a surprise!

Hi - NLC would be bright electric blue whisps. From what I can deduce in your photo, you were observing lower layered cirrus to the west.
