Just after midnight tonight Sept 13th the magnetic field around the Earth tipped slightly south causing a brief and faint auroral green glow to my North, just before the cloud rolled in, data on Ovation http://helios.swpc.noaa.gov/ovation/Europe.html suggested an aurora could be visible from our shores, was only a test shot and then drove to a darker area and found myself clouded out.Thank you Irish weather
