Details:
This is an image that I took on the morning of September 12, 2012. I captured the Moon, Venus, and the Beehive starcluster rising together in the early morning pre-twilight sky. The sky was beautifully clear with low lying fog below blocking the city lights below. To capture the image I used a Canon EOS 5D MkII with a 135mm lens at f/3.5. The exposure was 15 seconds with the ISO setting at 500. The camera was mounted on a Vixen Super Polaris mount with tracking motors to help make it possible to take longer exposures.
