Some people travel what must seem like to the end of the Earth in the hope of encountering what one can only described as one of Mother Natures most spectacular natural phenomena, that being the Aurora Borealis. In this case they traveled from Singapore to Inari, Northern Lapland, Finland.

Although the weather has been appalling all week over Scandinavia, with lots of heavy cloud and rain, our persistence paid off and and we were finally treated to a most magnificent light show, which lasted the best part of an hour.

Camera - Nikon D7000, Lens Tokina 11-16mm, Aperture f/2.8, ISO 800, exposure time 8s.
