A red alert was issued at 7:00pm tonight which is a little early for a red one. I headed out at 10:00pm thinking I had lots of time to get to my destination and set up. Headed out of Calgary I looked up and the Aurora had begun, stretching out over Calgary.

Does a person stop and photograph then or carry on and hope the show continues ... I drove on watching the amazing show. I certainly wasnt disappointed when I finally set up. The lights were very fast moving, bright colours, even with the full moon, lasting about two hours.
