Details:
Ive seen brighter displays, and more active displays, but the Aurora in the early hours of the 9th were simply staggering. From the Eastern horizon to the west, and from the northern, to the south - the display was simply breathtaking. Every inch of the sky was aglow, and the truly amazing moments were not when a ribbon of green appeared, but when a tear of black emerged, reminding you that there wasnt an inch of sky that was NOT glowing! Amazing.

I love the picture of the metal monsters! I only hope that all the electro magnetic activity doesnt bring them to life :}
