Details:
I put the camera out at 2:30am without the AC adapter and let it go the 20 minutes before the battery died. No heat packs, no protection... -30c/-22f and 8kts of wind. I went back inside watched a bit from the room and fell asleep.... I collected the camera in the morning. There were great colors to this aurora. As good if not better than I have ever seen. Superb! Canon 5D mk2,Sigma 20mm, 2500ISO, f1.8, 10 second images

What mustve gone through the mind of primitive man when he saw such new & incredible sights!
Perhaps something as humbling as: theres a God doing this.
