I usually not take Aurora picture near cities, but this was an exception.
As soon as the sun dropped under the horizon last evening the Auroras were up and running (well actually it was raging on all day, but we didnt see it at daytime)
The lights from the sunset balances out the brightness of city lights. And with this bright Auroras, I got a few nice shots.
In the distance is the small town of Sortland, situated in the center of Vesterålen archipelago.

Canon 5D mk2 and Canon EF 16-35L f/2,8 II
ISO 1000, with 10 second exposure.
