Details:
Amazing aurora over the Lofoten Islands last night whilst running a photo workshop.... The aurora was amazing but not as defined as I have seen it...

This shot is a focus stack of 4x30sec images with a new test 5D3 I have been loaned. Its shot at ISO1600, with four separate focus points, starting with infinity and ending with the fourth frame, right on the foreground stone.

The ambient light levels from the aurora is all that lights the scene, so its a case of spotting harmonious shapes in the dark, framing and then working on the technicalities of accurate capture.
