Details:
Predictions for an auroral display this night were very low. But this is what can happen when the planetary K-index is very low (2).
Suddenly, short after midnight, the auroral oval became active with lots of fast movenments and streamers.
The monitor at the Polarlightcenter in Laukvik, Lofoten, Norway showed a stronger groundcurrent and we could ran outside to capture a beautiful display. The sixth night on a row with clear skies and auroral display!
