Details:
I was shooting photos of the stars from the porch of our cottage. I was about to pack it in when I noticed a lot of purple in the sky in one of my photos. So I went down to the water to get a better look. It wasnt very intense to the naked eye by my camera picked up a lot of incredible colors. There was a bright patch above to the west that looked like a glowing cloud, it didnt flicker or anything, just hung there glowing. So I actually shot most of my photos facing west with the lights shooting across the photo.
