Details:
It was an an absolutely amazing night for viewing and shooting the northern lights and most unexpected as the weather forecast called for cloudy overcast skies. It seemed like wave after wave of streams of aurora passed directly overhead and were much more intense than usual. As the approaching streams of aurora arrived the surrounding area would light up like daylight !! I had to continuously shorten exposure until I was shooting at only 1.6 sec as any longer wasnt necessary.
