I went out today evening with a small hope to see the Soyuz launched today with the new crew bound to ISS. I was not sure to have it, but had to give it a try. Still it remained invisible, maybe tomorrow Id be more lucky!
ISS came from the direction of my hometown and emerged from the foggy light polluted sky part, crossed the Big Dipper, then went very close beside Polaris and set among the stars of Perseus. While ISS crossed my sky two other bright satellites came too: Shijian 6 and a NOSS 7A as I checked them in Calsky later.
I brought two cameras with me - and my husband to help operating them. The usual Nikon D5100 had the 10mm fisheye lens for catching the whole ISS flyby and my old Konica-Minolta Dynax 5D with 50mm lens. The later one had a job to catch ISS as it passes by the Double Cluster of Perseus when entering the Earths shadow. Both cameras did a great job, the spacecrafts look cool over the autumn meadow and trees!
