Details:
When my mother flew back from the Açores to the netherlands she photographed this thing. According to my dutch book its called glorie, but I dont know the english name. The book says its a group of colored rings around the counterpoint of the sun. When its seen from an airplane, its always around the shadow of that airplane. When the airplane is far from the cloud, the shadow from the airplane isn visible anymore, but this optical phenomenon is. As you can see on the pictures.
