The Great Storm of 2011?
On October 24th, 2011, this outburst of auroras took us all by surprise. Since then Ive payed a lot more attention to space weather, especially with solar max around the corner.
It was certainly a memorable night for many in the lower 48 - Ill be watching closely for the next unexpected storm.
