Details:
Lunar arcs were very apparent around the moon tonight. These arent the best pictures, as they were taken with a snapshot digital camera (Canon Powershot SD 880). The halo and what appears to be the lunar version of a parhelic circle were visible. Faint color in the halo was apparent to the naked eye, and the parhelic circle went completely around the zenith. This was taken through a high overcast being blown out of Hurricane Sandy.
