Details:
At 10:30 AM CDT, my Pensacola State College astronomy students studied the clearest example of a dark filament on the disk appearing as a bright prominence over the limb I have ever seen. Some students commented on the 3D appearance of the 150,000 mile long magnetic string as it looped around the limb to the far side. In my photo with the Coronado 60 and a 26mm Plossl and Olympus D-595 at 1/400th second, the filament and prominence are on the right limb; a larger prominece is at bottom right.
