Details:
Seeing reports of comet 168P (Hergenrother) in outburst I waited to try my new camera. Last night it was clear for a hour or two so I took this 10 minute exposure using my Starlight Xpress MX25C camera on my 12 RCX400 telescope. The comet was easily seen on a 10-second finder image. The colour shown here is not corrected because I have yet to fit my IDAS (light pollution) filter in the optical train. I therefore hope to do far better next time!
