Details:
The Taurids are putting on a great display although you do appear to have to wait between trails. A low yield shower, when one does appear it can be spectacular. This photo shows a Taurid that actually started on the frame before! Obviously a bright event, the meteors trail has left an ionised glowing column of atoms behind it known as a train. The start of the train can be seen in the same shot as the trail. As the time clicks by, the train slowly distorts in the upper atmosphere as it fades.
