Details:
The air was full of low hanging ice crystals throughout the day today in Grand Forks, North Dakota. They remained long enough after sunset to light up the night sky with towering light pillars from all of the lamps around town. It was one of the brightest displays I can remember seeing. The feeling was a bit surreal as my house was surrounded by the beams of light. Many neighbors were out in the cold to catch a quick view as well.
