On Thursday the 17th, I managed to catch the aurora before the activity started to decrease.
The first picture was taken 3 km North of Turku airport, still a bit too close from the city to get rid of the lights of the city.
I drove in Kurjenrahka National Park, 30 km North, to have a nicer sky. But the activity was already slowing down, and with the -20°C, I decided not to wait for the moon to set.
