Details:
I went out between 11:00pm on Jan 19 and 2:30am on Jan20(and counting) to a quiet locale I scouted out days before. Im parked on this gas well site and only had to wait a handful of moments before the aurora became visible. Thankfully this excursion was free of clouds, as it feels like weve been socked in with precipitous weather for months. Its -27 degrees Celsius not including windchill; I have my canon 5D markii with my trusty 16-35mm f/2.8L attached to it...and Im ready.
