#1, #2, #3 | Pictures taken of Moon eclipsing Jupiter through an 8' SCT and Nikon digital camera. Condition were less than ideal because of foggy and very hazy skies. |

#1 | From Colorado, Jupiter was already behind the Moon at the time of moonrise, but appeared about 20 minutes later while still quite low in the sky. High clouds partially obscurred the view. This image taken with a 300 mm Nikkor lens at f5.6; 6-second exposure at ISO 400; Fuji FInepix S2 digital camera; 3:01 AM MST. |

#1 | This was a visually stunning sight, and worth the early wakeup and 26 degree temperature to experience. |

#1 | I took these photos using my Orion Astroview 6 at 30X with a Meade Variable Camera Adapter and an Orion 25mm Plossl eyepiece. However, my cheap T-Ring adapter failed at the last minute so I could not mount my Canon SLR directly on the telescope. Bummer! Soon after Jupiter peeked around the dark side of the moon, I decided to try using my Olympus C-4000 digital. I zoomed the lens out and stuck it into the Camera Adapter and snapped. The quality of these pics are better than I expected but obviously not quite what I could have had if weren't for the T-Ring adapter failure. Note in the first pic, only about 3/4 of Jupiter is showing. The rest is still hidden by the moon. |

Very hazy and wet out side. Telescope drive failed but I still managaged to get enough shots to make a little animation. |

Taken very low to the horizon due to how far West we were. Taken with a 6' refractor and a Canon 10D camera. |

#1 | Taken using Takahashi FS102 31mm Nagler lens and using Olympus C5050. This shot was taken in daylight the moon is slightly over-exposed in order to capture Jupiter and original shot includes moons of Jupiter. |

This is an animated gif of the reappearance of Jupiter from behind the Moon on 12/7/04. The series consists of 7 images, each taken approximately 10 seconds apart. I used a Canon 300D to capture the images (using a Celestron NexStar11 scope with F/6.3 focal reducer). |
