A wonderful night for Aurora Borealis here in Northern Lapland, Finland. We headed North towards the Norway and, just as we approached the border crossing point at Utsjoki, we were greeted by this amazing sight. The Northern Lights filled the night sky and this wonderful band started to spiral around the church. The display lasted for approximately 1.5 hours and, despite the moonlight, the colours and the movement of the Aurora were easily visible with the naked eyes. I used a Canon 5D Mk II to capture this image. The lens is the Canon EF 14mm f/2.8. My ISO settings was 800 and the shutter speed was 4 seconds. I was shooting wide open at f/2.8.
