These two images show two Gemind fireballs. I made the observations in Bahariya Oasis, Egypt. On 13 December 2008, the Geminids were a nice show of several fireballs. On 14 December 2008, the Geminids were a spectacular display of spectacular fireballs and bright meteors. My camera is Sony DSC H5. I used a conversion lens, to acquire an effective focal length of 26mm. In the second image, taken on 13 Dec, the fireball is visible as a long streak of light, below center and between Spica and Arcturus. Saturn is visible in the upper right, near the tail of Leo, the Lion.
