Details:
Despite escaping about 2 hours south of Shanghai to escape the predicted rain and overcast skies, we were still delivered a glancing blow from the rain belt. I only managed to catch occasional glimpses of the eclipse through gaps in the clouds which was rather disappointing. However, the experience of being shrouded in darkness during totality was still amazing despite being robbed of the eclipse's presence.
