What a show!! This was my first meteor show I've witnessed in many, many years. Tonight was also my first attempt to try and photograph them - what a challenge! The combination of high winds (gusting to 70km/hr), blowing snow and trying to avoid flying sheets of scrap wood and garbage made photographing the Geminids abit difficult. I saw at least 40 fly by in all directions in the hour I spent trying to capture them on pixel. Towards the end of my shoot the aurora came out to add to beauty of the late evening. Camera details : Nikon D700, 14-24mm lens, f/2.8 (10 secs) 3200 ASA.
