The sun set this evening at 8:48 pm, CDT, and from 9:00 to 9:10 pm a gorgeous, pink sky-spanning ray stretched from the NW to the SE. It looked just a gigantic, monocolored rainbow - my eyes could not quite see the whole thing without slightly moving my head. Canon Rebel XTi with a 16mm Nikkor lens @ f/5.6; 1/8th and 1/13th second exposures at ISO 100.
