Near De Soto, Kansas.
For the third night in a row, we have had beautiful sunset sky coloration - looking for all the world like Sarychev sunsets. However, the more likely cause for these colors is smoke in the upper troposphere/lower stratosphere from fires raging in numerous western US states. I would appreciate images and reports from any other readers of Spaceweather who have experienced a recent increase in colorful sunsets and sunrises over the US.
