Tananger, near Stavanger, Norway
I'd just flown in to my home town of Stavanger in south-west Norway, after a short break in the south of France. On the way home from the airport Spaceweather phone was ringing and, sure enough, the local skies were glowing a gentle green colour. Still wearing my beach clothes, I pulled over and took a few shots. Do I get a special Spaceweather prize for being the first person to photograph the aurora borealis whilst wearing a T-shirt and flip flops?!
