I did not get to see the midnight sun eclipse because I live in the south, but one day after the eclipse I decided to do my best to find the New Moon using my binoculars. After 5 minutes scanning the western sky just after sunset, I finally got to see it. I almost shouted! I had previously set my photo gear and rushed to take a snap of this 0.97-day-old Moon.
