Details:
During an observing session early this morning to catch the Moon transiting Neptune some fog rolled in over my observing site from the Atlantic. With the Moon almost full and at around 30° altitude the conditions were just right to produce a 'Moonbow' and sure enough within a few minuets one appeared directly behind me. It's the first time I've seen one and over the rocky barren landscape of the Burren it looked fragile and eerie. Taken with a Canon 350D & Takona 12mm wide angle lens.
