While watching Comet Garradd which can now be seen even with a pair of 10x42 binoculars (!) close to the coathanger asterism, faint auroras appeared over most of the sky. They didn`t look very impressive visually with the northern nights still being rather bright, but a few seconds exposure through the camera revealed a stunning sight.
