In full Daylight Mars was occulted by our Moon. Despite the bad seeing,low contrast and the low magnitude of Mars the event could be watched even with small telescopes (we tried a 60mm Fujinon Fieldscope). The Images and a Video were made using a Celestron C-8 telescope and an AVT Marlin F145B2 firewire camera. A Video of the emersion can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alYno2t45ng The immersion was visible nicely and showed a orange colored Mars against the light blue sky. Usage of a polarisation filter in the eyepiece enhanced the view a bit.
