In full Daylight Mars was occulted by our Moon. Despite the bad seeing, low contrast and the low magnitude of Mars the event could be watched even with small telescopes (we tried a 60mm Fujinon Fieldscope). The Images and a Video were made using a Celestron C-8 telescope and an AVT Marlin F145B2 firewire camera. A Video of the emersion can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alYno2t45ng The immersion was visible nicely and showed a orange colored Mars against the light blue sky. Usage of a polarisation filter in the eyepiece enhanced the view a bit.
