This shot shows a stargazer looking out towards a brightly visible Zodiacal Light. The Zodiacal Light is a glow that extends along the ecliptic and is caused by sunlight that is scattered by space dust in the zodiacal cloud. Venus and Jupiter are also visible along the ecliptic as well. This shot was taken in Cherry Springs State Park, PA on February 20th, 2012. It was taken with a Canon 7D.
