This early morning the sky is clear enough to capture some shots of comet Lovejoy from Christchurch, New Zealand. The comet tails are longer than 30 moon sizes and visible by unaided eyes but it is headless.
I mount the Nikon D7000 on the camera tripod with 8 mm f/4, 18 mm f/3.2, 50mm f/2 and 105mm f/2 lens from 1000 to 4000 ASA. 3:13 am to 4:00 am NZST on 24/12/11. The comet is at SE low horizontal direction.
