After nearly missing last nights amazing sun pillar at sunset I headed out of town hoping for more pillar action tonight out in the wide open country but the clouds were too thick on the Western horizon and it just didn't happen. A short time later however the bright Wolf Moon happened to produce a large lower and upper pillar to save the night. The pictures just don't do the pillars justice with the high contrast between the brightness of the moon and the pillars, But you can still get a feel for what it looked like from the pictures.
