Instead of hitting the malls on Black Friday, I decided to do something out of this world...image Venus in a bright Noontime sky. By aligning my setting circles by first locating the Sun, Venus was a snap to see through an 8x50 finderscope. The planet is small but the gibbous phase is obvious. I used a Meade LX50 10" SCT at f/20 with a 2x Baelow and an Imaging Source DFKAU04 camera.
